Moving onto High School (Year 7 2026)
A warm welcome from all of us here at Sheringham High School. This page is designed to help you prepare your child for Year 7. We hope to cover everything you will need to know, however, if you do have any concerns, queries or worries, then you will find contact details below.
Our Transitions Co-ordinator, Kerry Smith, visits feeder schools in the summer term to meet your children, let them know what to expect and to answer any questions they may have. You should have received a letter from the Head Teacher, Dawn Hollidge from your Primary School about our Open Evening on Thursday 2nd October 2025.

Our Transition Days this year will be Monday 6th July and Tuesday 7th July 2026, where your child can meet their teachers and experience secondary school. We host a variety of after school activities for your child, where they can make new friends, meet their new teachers and become familiar with the school environment a less formal way.
There will also be a parent induction evening on Monday 6th July. Details to follow.
However, we do have some capacity to offer tours to families who haven’t been able to come along to any of our events.
